Recovery journeys

Cart and checkout events can start recovery journeys. Before each send, confirm the contact still has permission, the order has not completed, and the cart remains eligible. Stop the journey immediately after payment, opt-out, suppression, or expiration.

Entitlements

Entitlements represent access earned through a purchase or subscription. Grant and revoke them from verified server-side provider events, with enough source data for reconciliation.

Referrals and recommendations

Referral records connect advocates, referred contacts, and qualifying outcomes. Recommendations can promote other publications or offers. Define fraud controls, qualification windows, and reversal rules before awarding value.

Sponsorships and advertising

Sponsors, advertiser offers, ad inventory, and placements model sellable publication space. Record the agreed placement, schedule, rate, creative, and performance terms. Separate booked inventory from delivered inventory.

Earnings, commissions, and payouts

Earnings and commissions should be immutable financial events with adjustment records for corrections. Payouts aggregate eligible balances after refunds, chargebacks, and holding periods. Reconcile the ledger against payment provider records before marking a payout complete.
